Unique Ensuite Shower Room In Wimbledon
When a six year old girl gives you a design brief for her bathroom you could well imagine the walls covered in the latest cartoon characters…
The client’s brief was very specific for this room in that it must have pink in it somewhere and be practical for a six year old girl to use now and in the future. It was all about listening carefully to the client’s needs and combining them into the design for the room.
The pearlised pink mosaic tiles were used in the shower room in selective areas only and combined with the soft cream wall and floor tiles created an impact without being overpowering.
The basin and illuminated mirror were fitted lower than the standard height to suit the needs of the child but with the option of raising it up as the child grows.
A custom made toughened glass shower screen was commissioned with a sand blasted panel to add some privacy. This was fitted into a concealed frame in the wall to maintain the clean lines of the glass.
Recessed LED lights fitted low down in the walls not only provide attractive feature lighting but also practical. These can be independently controlled from the main lights.
